The update process for 0.1 to 0.2 is a bit different. I am creating a PPA version and a Non-PPA version of the Wunderlist FogApp for people who don't like using 3rd-party PPAs...which I understand...and for those people I built an in-app Version Checker for informing them of new updates to both the FogApp and to FogApp Themes.
- Attention -This is a fogapp which is a webapp based on the integration software known as Fogger, unfortunately Fogger is no longer in development and because of that we can no longer continue to maintain an app for abandoned software. If you are using Ubuntu 12.04 LTS then you can still try use our app but it will not be modified for any other versions and I'm pretty sure that it will not work with the latest verions of Wunderlist. - Note: I've moved to Todoist anyway.
PPA Users: you don't have to do anything...just sit back and enjoy, when the PPA update is available the Ubuntu Update Manager will let you know. Though the Ubuntu 12.04 theme does require updating manually if you decide to use it at 0.2 or later.
Non-PPA Users: I HATE when I miss updates so since you are choosing to not use the PPA, which is fine, I have created a way that allows me to notify you inside of the FogApp whenever there is an update available. This update is ran only once per session, when you load up the FogApp it checks for a new version but after that it doesn't check until you close and reopen the FogApp...saves on resources and makes the process much faster. :) - anyway, for updating without the PPA it isn't very hard...all you have to do is download the .tar.gz, extract, drag&drop and you're done.
Which type of user are you, do you prefer the PPA method or going the DIY route?
